When YouTube almost got me arrested. Free speech doesn’t exist.

 

and how I was so close to getting my life ruined!

On a normal sunny day, of the COVID lockdown I was casually making YouTube. I made a video stating that how the coronavirus was pre-planned and was made to divert our attention from important things. I spoke about how a virus so similar to flu can’t be as easily treated. I also said that the doctors are not treating the people in the proper manner and how easy to cure corona actually was!

That video blew up and I got around 20,000 views in 12 hours. I got multiple comments saying how that made sense. I then made a part two based on why the virus outbreak even took place and the possible theories revolving around it. I also gave a logical opinion stating, “if that’s the case, every country could let their virus out and wreak havoc, also places of storage for viruses are ALWAYS up to the international standards and it’s just sounds too silly for something that serious!”

Again, that video blew up and I got 50k views till the end of the day. My previous video got 100k till this moment. I know the analytics sound kind of unrealistic but at that time, YouTube global watch time was soaring at 100,000,000 hours a day because people were trapped din their homes with nothing to do and the algorithm gods were blessing me or something. I also finely optimized the SEO and reuploaded the video multiple times, so yeah it went viral quickly! I was extremely delighted until I got a mail form YouTube.

It has been observed that your videos are violating the YouTube guidelines hence we request you to un-list the following videos.

That was weird cause the YouTube had the power to simply take them down, so why would they ask me to do it. Anyways, as a reply I asked them,
Can you specify the guidelines which my videos violate.

They replied with guideline numbers related to terrorism, abuse and spreading hate.
For a while I was like…
WHAT? I JUST SPOKE FACTS. (All the knowledge in that video was obtained from YouTube and Google itself, all I did was pick some theories from reddit,)

I requested them to review the videos again.

They replied, the review team has found your promoting terrorism, abuse and hate. (I doubt they even reviewed.)

At this point I was enraged and so I told them that I will make a video on YouTube talking about how YouTube is censoring free speech.

To which they replied,

Your account has been terminated because of your failure to comply with out terms and guidelines.
Wish you a good day ahead.

I then made multiple YouTube accounts and filled them up with my videos.

On every account I got a mail stating,
This YouTube moderation team. We have witnessed that your content promotes terrorism and abuse. I hope you are aware that such behavior could lead to legal action. As per guideline number XXXXXX.

We request you to delete the following videos, within 48 hours.

I was shitting in my pants at this moment; hence I removed those videos as quickly as possible, and all terminated all the dummy channels.

At this point, I was way too scared to go ahead with my plan. And yeah, that was the story how I nearly got arrested!
