What happened to POWER RANGERS? My tribute to one of the finest shows which shaped our childhood!

Where did they go? our favorite “Go go power rangers!”.

Premiering in 1993, Power Rangers has gone through so many different eras and iterations over nearly three decades on the air that summarizing it succinctly is a near impossibility. In fact, Power Rangers has gone on for so long that it now exists in that rare category of long-running, multiversal, brain-bustingly huge mega-settings like Doctor Who and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

What stays consistent? There’s a group of young people who wear color-coded, super-powered spandex that runs on the energy of a nebulously defined power source called the Morphine Grid. They fight monsters, they pilot giant robots called Zords, and they win the day through the power of friendship.

Now it was one of my favorite shows out there but there is a problem,

IT IS TOO CONFUSING,

The Power Rangers Prime Universe is the base universe of the seasons: MMPR (1, 2 and 3), Alien, Zeo, Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie & Turbo, Soul of the Dragon, In Space, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, Wild Force, Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, S.P.D., Operation Overdrive, Jungle Fury, Samurai & Super Samurai, Megaforce & Super Megaforce, Ninja Steel & Super Ninja Steel, Beast Morphers and Dino Fury. The Mystic Force season intersperses with Magical World.

The seasons R.P.M., Dino Charge & Dino Super Charge, HyperForce have their own dimensions.

So if you were to go out and search for collections, you will spend your whole life doing that. Undoubtly being one of the best shows of its time and with all the multiversal drama being far ahead of its time it was one of the finest to ever exist.

Now you may ask why it isn’t being aired or presented on TV now?

Power Rangers isn’t popular anymore for two reasons.

Number one: The children who were the target audience for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers during its first three seasons when it was popular in the 1990s, have since grown out of it and moved on to different things.

They’re no longer interested in live action superhero children’s shows with cheap low budget special effects because they want blood and gore, cursing and sexual innuendos in their shows, and scenes with people smoking cigarettes and using drugs (which is stuff made for adults).

Number two: Power Rangers isn’t the same show that it used to be. It jumped the shark years ago when a lot of the old Power Rangers characters were replaced with new ones which is what they’re still doing nowadays, and a lot of those fans were unhappy with the changes, so they stopped watching it and never came back.

Summing up, all great things must come to an end.

RIP Power Rangers and thanks for making my childhood so vibrant and lively.

Love you all,
