ESCAPING Ukraine amidst the war. A true story of Bravery and Courage!

An Indian medical student’s story.

I had a friend of mine who was a medical student in Ukraine came back to tell the tale. He said that the world has a completely wrong image of Russia. Russians are extremely helping and cheerful unlike the drunkards everyone calls them. He also mentioned their love for their motherland is unshakable. They are muscular and strong and are quite experienced with firearms, one of his Russian friends quoted.

“I must repay the motherland and for that I must be strong in the face of enemy which requires mental and physical strength.”

A true patriot indeed.

An average Russian.

When he was going back to Russia for the airlift by Indian government the Ukrainian soldiers stopped them at a check post. A guy forms his group was a fluent Russian speaker and hence said, “We are students from India, we are heading towards the (censored) airport for airlift”, The jeep which was used for the transit had and Indian flag attached to it. The Ukrainian soldiers “tore it off the jeep” and started bullying the whole group.

Later they went on to beat them up and “raped” one of their fellow students. They ravaged their jeep and took away all the rations. The good part was that this incident took place near the Kharkiv.

Russian mercenary group ambushed the checkpoint and killed 5 Ukrainian soldiers. It was a fierce fire fight, but the Ukrainian soldiers were not even able to aim down sight of their gun (lack of training)! They approached my friend and the jeep as they had hands in the air. The soldiers interrogated them about where they were heading, etc. Then they spotted the torn Indian flag and asked the in Russian if they were Indian. One of the fellow student was a fluent Russian speaker and explained everything.

The solider got a radio message on their radio in Russian as they reported the situations and about the Indian students. He was immediately ordered to escort the convoy to the border and were let in by the soldiers at the border. Later the Russian officer told the students that their president has specially ordered to help all Indians at priority. When he returned home, he narrated the story at the dining table. He also mentioned how the Ukrainians are extremely racist towards particularly Indians and often bullied them amidst their time in the collage.

He then later spoke about how the media (particularly Western) was spoiling the Russian image on a global arena and in reality, it was quite the opposite.

I hate to tell you the reality because most of you will consider me a Russian biased guy and will troll me, yet I speak the truth and reality in the name of free speech.
